Some hospitals in Delhi found symptoms similar to Kawasaki disease in children

Since few months many hospitals in Delhi some symptoms of a rare disease called Kawasaki in children who have tested COVID-19 positive. Symptoms observed in children are rashes and inflammation. This disease affects children under the age of 5. The fever lasts for more than five days, which cannot be affected by normal medication. It is a form of vasculitis where blood vessels become inflamed throughout the body.

In Kalawati Saran which is in Delhi has seen 5-6 cases of children with Kawasaki symptoms. Children suffer from fever, rashes, respiratory and gastrointestinal issues. Recently in Mumbai, 14-year-old girls tested corona positive and also two classic Kawasaki symptoms – fever and rashes.

 

 

The World Health Organisation, last month, labelled this new illness “multisystem inflammatory disorder”.
