Sushmita Sen is an Indian actress and model. She has crowned Femina Miss India in 1994 and won Miss Universe 1994 at the age of 18. Sen is the first Indian woman to win the competition and has since primarily worked in Hindi films.

Recently, she also worked in an Indian crime drama web television series, Aarya, and also once she was refused to shoot a song because the lyrics were too suggestive.

In an interview, choreographer Ganesh Hedge said that she pushed Anu Malik to rewrite the lines and change the suggestive lyrics of the song.

In the early 2000s when Fiza came and Sushmita Sen’s performance in Mehboob Mere stole our hearts. But there is also something which we don’t know that Sushmita Sen refuses to perform this song until there are changes.

Ganesh Hedge said: “There was a line that went ‘aa garmi le mere seene se (come feel the heat of my bosom)’ and she refused to sing it. She said, ‘I won’t just do it’.

Ganesh Hedge also revealed that Sushmita Sen improvised most of the belly-dancing steps in the song.  And with challenged and also broke the norms of filming an ‘item song’: There is nothing usual about her. A lot of the dancing, especially the belly dancing moves, she did herself. There’s a trance-like feel to her dancing and in those sequences, I did not do anything. It was mostly her.
