Violence: Two Nigerian students beaten up in Haridwar College

We saw lots of cases of violence against black students in India. Recently similar violence had happened in Haridwar. Two Nigerian students in Haridwar, we’re attacked, and police have arrested the director of a private college, along with 5 security guards, registrar, and a non-teaching member of the staff. According to Hindustan Times, the security guards had assaulted these Nigerian students who tried to go out for dinner, and the video of which had gone viral on social media.

The students just wanted to go out to eat because they were bored with the canteen food, but they were denied permission, and they went out regardless. When returned, they were confronted by the security guards and beaten up by the security guard.

Now, local students, villagers and the National Student Union of India (NSUI) all came together to support these two students and demanded strict legal action against the private college management and the security guards.
