Russian President named Vladimir Putin is regarded to be one the most significant politicians worldwide and if current predictions by experts are to be believed, then he’s also amongst the world’s richest too.
The Russian President has been ruling the country for around 14 years now and it is predicted that his personal wealth has almost estimated to be $200 billion, even though nobody really knows how much the Russian President might really be worth.
These brand new figures were first discovered by the Russian fund manager and author named Bill Browder, who informed the International Business times why Putin’s personal wealth is growing year after year. According to Browder,
“After 14 years in power of Russia, and the amount of money that the country has made, and the amount of money that hasn’t been spent on schools and roads and hospitals and so on, all that money is in property, bank — Swiss bank accounts —shares, hedge funds, managed for Putin and his cronies.”
If these predictions are true then the Russian President would appear on top as the world’s richest person with wealth around three times that of Bill Gates. It is said that Vladimir has stakes in-state energy monopolies and commodity trader Gunvor.
He is also the owner of superyacht Olympia, presented by Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich said to cost over $37 million. Aside from the super luxurious yacht, Putin also has entry to over 58 planes and helicopters along with 20 palaces and retreats all around Russia.
Though the President in the year 2015 had announced that his yearly income was a mere £95,000, a dossier document designed by Boris Nemstov, who is a Russian adversary informed that the private jet used by the Russian President itself boasts of a toilet worth $62000.
While it is tough to know what actually goes on behind the scenes and how much the Russian President is actually worth, it is safe to presume that Putin is one among the multi-billionaire who will never be shown on the Forbes rich list.
